FS 2 Activity 3
FIELD STUDY 2
At the end of this activity, the FS student must be able to achieve the following intended learning outcomes:
1. explain the components of learning management plan and its importance;
2. identify the best practices in creating effective learning management plan; and
3. promote behavioral, social and academic success in a structured environment that caters to tolerance,
exemplary behavior and learning.
Classroom management or meeting the needs of students can be one of the crucial parts of teaching-learning
process. However, it is the key component in any educational setting. If students are safe in a learning environment, then
teaching-learning process can take place. This activity focuses on creating a classroom routine that will make teachers and
students more productive. As a pre-service teacher, you should be committed in making classroom a safe and challenging
environment, engaging your students through the curriculum, as well as getting to know them and interacting with each other.
You should develop a democratic and equitable learning environment so that students can learn effectively.
Direction: Read the following instruction below before doing the indicated tasks.
1. Conduct interview with a teacher regarding best practices about effective learning management plan.
2. Observe etiquette during the interview process.
3. Always follow the minimum health safety protocol.
FIELD STUDY 2
Attach on the specified area the interview result or data gathered from the teacher.
FIELD STUDY 2
1. Based on the result/data of your interview, are you going to apply or adapt those best practices? Justify your answer.
Based on the result of our interview, yes, I am going to apply those best practices in my teaching process
when I became a teacher in the future. It is because I want to give the best learning experience to my students. I
want my students to become comfortable inside the classroom so that they will be more willing to learn. In terms of
the design of the classroom’ I really commend the practices that ma’am Maricar utilized in her classroom because
she is considering all the condition of her classroom particularly the seating arrangement. I believe that seating
arrangement could really have a big impact with the learning experiences of the students inside the classroom
because if it can affect the way they learn in case the learners are not able to see or hear properly the discussion.
When it comes to communication, I also would like to apply what ma’am Maricar is doing in her teaching process
wherein she is considering the importance of having a clear communication or relationship not only with her students
but also with her students’ parents. I believed that a strong parent-teacher relationship is crucial for fostering a
supportive educational environment and ensuring a child's academic and personal success.
FIELD STUDY 2
2. Is there a meaningful effect of a well-planned classroom management in achieving a productive study environment?
Substantiate your answer by providing evidence.
Yes, effective classroom management has a real and considerable impact on creating a conducive
environment for learning. Effective classroom management techniques not only foster an environment that is
beneficial to learning and is orderly, yet they also encourage student participation and academic achievement. For
example, is when a teacher uses individualized seating arrangements based on students' needs and preferences. By
strategically placing students, distractions and conflicts are minimized, and students can focus on their work without
disruptions. This tailored approach enhances the overall learning experience and fosters a more productive study
environment. Another example that can support that there is a meaningful effect of a well-planned classroom
management in achieving a productive study environment is when a teacher implemented the use of positive
reinforcement and behavior incentives because in this environment, students are motivated to behave appropriately
and stay engaged in learning. As a result, they are more likely to complete assignments, participate in class
discussions, and perform better on assessments, contributing to a productive study environment.
1. What is the set of ideals, values, beliefs, and goals on learning management plan?
A learning management plan is made up of an extensive set of ideas, values, beliefs, and goals that direct
the educational process in a particular learning environment. It functions as the basic framework for how education is
provided to and received. This plan contains the fundamental ideas and guiding concepts that a school or individual
teacher holds dear, highlighting what they see as being crucial to the learning process. It includes principles that
promote a respectable, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment. It also represents the viewpoints on engaging
instruction, personal development, and successful teaching. The desirable outcomes—academic and personal—that
educators want to accomplish are set forth in the learning management plan as goals. These may include fostering
critical thinking, enhancing subject mastery, nurturing creativity, and instilling lifelong learning habits. In essence, the
learning management plan is a holistic roadmap that shapes the educational experience, aligning the institution or
educator's core values and beliefs with the goals they wish to attain in the pursuit of knowledge and personal
development.
2. What criteria and/or standards will you set to judge the quality of the classroom learning environment?
A teacher might establish several criteria and standards to assess the quality of the classroom learning
environment and when I become a teacher, the criteria and/or standards I will set to judge the quality of the classroom
learning environment could include factors such as first, the level of student engagement, because the level of
participation and engagement from the students in the classroom may be used to evaluate the quality of the learning
environment and active participation, critical thinking, and open conversations should all be encouraged in a high-quality
environment.
Another criteria and/or standards I will set to judge the quality of the classroom learning environment is the
presence of consistency and clear expectations because in the classroom, there should be clear expectations,
regulations, and consequences that are regularly followed. This guarantees a controlled and predictable environment that
fosters efficient learning. Next would be the inclusivity of the classroom to diverse learners, since respect for diversity,
inclusion, and a feeling of belonging should be prioritized in a good learning environment. Therefore teachers should
gauge how much every student feels respected and appreciated in the classroom.
The extent of collaborative and interactive learning opportunities, and the effectiveness of classroom
management in minimizing disruptions as well as the availability of tools and materials to promote learning, the teacher's
capacity to offer prompt and helpful feedback, and the general climate of respect and trust in the classroom are all factors
that may be taken into consideration. These standards and criteria assist in ensuring that the learning environment is
supportive of student development, inspiration, and academic achievement.
FIELD STUDY 2
How will you design your classroom to create an appropriate and effective learning environment? Illustrate and justify your design.
I will design my classroom to create an appropriate and effective learning environment by first taking into
consideration about the seating arrangement. Different learning styles can be accommodated by flexible seating
arrangements, such as group sitting for discussions or traditional rows for focused instruction. The seating arrangement can
help minimize interruptions, allowing students to focus on their current lesson. Additionally, a well-planned seating
arrangement gives the teacher better control over the classroom, facilitating better behavior management and improving the
efficiency of the teaching process. In the end, a decent seating plan is an important instrument in establishing an engaging
and effective environment for learning and academic development.
Resource Accessibility will also be applied in designing my classroom to ensure easy access to textbooks,
materials, and supplies to minimize disruptions and maximize learning time. Additionally, technology integration such as
interactive whiteboards, computers, and educational apps, to enhance instruction and engage students should also be
present in my classroom. It reduces disturbances and permits smooth transitions between activities when instructional
materials, textbooks, supplies, and technology are accessible and organized. The materials students require are easily
accessible, promoting a seamless and focused learning experience. The total efficacy of the educational process is
eventually improved by this accessibility, which fosters engagement and equips students to assume ownership of their
learning.
In terms of Organization inside my classroom I should maintain an organized classroom with labeled storage bins,
folders, and digital platforms for assignments and resources, promoting efficiency and responsibility. Organization in
classroom design plays a pivotal role in promoting an effective learning environment. A well-organized classroom ensures
that instructional materials and resources are easily accessible, reducing disruptions and maximizing teaching and learning
time. It fosters a sense of order, responsibility, and efficiency, which contributes to a positive classroom culture. When
students know where to find materials, assignments, and resources, they become more self-reliant and focused on their
studies. An organized classroom also sets a visual example of structure and planning, reinforcing the importance of
organization and time management, skills that are valuable for both academic and life success.
Comfortable Environment is also a must in my classroom. The key to encouraging a productive learning
environment in the classroom is to make it comfortable. With comfortable seats and the right lighting, students can
concentrate better on the learning process when they are physically at comfortable. Comfort also extends to the emotional
sphere, where a relaxed atmosphere encourages risk-taking, creative thinking, and active participation. Students are more
likely to engage in discussions, ask questions, and collaborate when they feel comfortable in their surroundings. Therefore,
ensuring a comfortable classroom design isn't just about physical comfort but also contributes to creating a space where
students are more receptive, motivated, and open to the learning process, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of
education.

2. What classroom rules and procedures will you formulate to ensure discipline and order in your class? How will you ensure
safety and security of your students?
The classroom rules and procedures I will formulate to ensure discipline and order in my class while encouraging
a good learning environment, I would design a set of clear and essential rules and procedures. These might include rules
like treating everyone with respect, actively listening, being on time, and paying close attention to instructions. Before
speaking, students would be encouraged to raise their hands, and technology would be used appropriately for instructional
purposes. There would also be clear guidelines in place for attendance, turning in homework, participating in group
projects, and keeping the classroom clean. These guidelines and practices are intended to reduce disruptions, ensure
effective use of class time, and foster a respectable, responsible, and cooperative school climate. By adhering to these
guidelines, my aim is to create a structured and harmonious learning space where students can thrive academically and
personally.
Ensuring the safety and security of my students will also be one of my top priority. I will maintain a safe classroom
environment through regular emergency drills, a well-stocked first aid kit, and clear evacuation plans. I'll constantly
supervise the classroom and strictly enforce anti-bullying policies. Additionally, I'll respect the confidentiality of students'
personal information and maintain a locked and secure classroom when unattended. By prioritizing these measures, I aim
to create a learning space where students not only flourish academically but also feel protected and cared for.
Classroom rules and procedures are crucial for maintaining discipline and order in my class as they provide the
necessary structure and expectations for a productive learning environment. They offer clear guidelines for behavior, which
promote respect, responsibility, and cooperation among students. These rules ensure that classroom time is used
efficiently for learning rather than managing disruptions, creating a more focused atmosphere. Additionally, established
procedures for tasks like attendance, assignments, and transitions help streamline the learning process, allowing students
to know what to expect and reducing confusion. Furthermore, these rules and procedures play a vital role in ensuring the
safety and security of students, helping to prepare and protect them in case of emergencies. Overall, they create a
conducive environment for both academic growth and personal development.
