Projects of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Thuringia, represented by the State Chancellery of Thuringia, Department of Culture and the Arts.
The Ossmannstedt Study Days invites participants to engage in academic discourse on literature and history. The programme features lectures and seminar discussions on classical German literature and its history, supplemented by visits to historical sites and museums in Weimar and the surrounding region. The academic dialogue is specifically designed to highlight current cultural education formats offered by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar.
Target group: Teachers of the subjects German, History, Politics and Religion. If space allows, others who are not teachers may also participate upon request. For these individuals, the participation fee is 50 euros higher as the events are subsidised as teacher training measures.
Event location: Participants stay overnight and attend seminars at the Academy of the Wieland Estate in Ossmannstedt. Visits to the museums and historic sites of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar are part of the programme (except for the excursion to Rome).
