BEIRUT, March 29. /TASS/. Syria’s new transitional government, to be announced in the coming hours by the country’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa, will be comprised of 22 ministers, Al Hadath reported.

According to the TV channel, the heads of the Interior, Foreign and Defense ministries from the previous cabinet will retain their posts.

The transitional period in Syria will last for 5 years followed by the general election. The republic’s legislative base will correspond to the norms of Islamic law.
