Iwashiro Province
Iwashiro Province (岩代国, Iwashiro-no kuni) is an old province in the area of Fukushima Prefecture on the island of Honshū.[1] It was sometimes called Ōshū (奥州).[2] The history of the province started in 1868 and ended in 1872.
History
[change | change source]In the Meiji period, the provinces of Japan were converted into prefectures. The maps of Japan and Iashiro Province were reformed in the 1870s.[3]
