AFTON, Tenn. (Gray News) - A bridge in Tennessee collapsed into the river on Friday amid catastrophic flooding brought by Helene.

Drone video shot by Daniel Shrader shows the Kinser Bridge completely washed out in Afton, Tennessee.

The bridge is where Highway 107 crosses the Nolichucky River. Shrader told CNN the bridge normally is about 60 feet above the river.

The Kinser Bridge is located about 12 miles northeast of the Nolichucky Dam, which was at risk of an imminent breach late Friday night, according to the Tennessee Valley Authority.

The Tennessee Valley Authority reported Saturday morning that the Nolichucky River has crested the dam. However, the dam continues to hold and the Tennesse Valley Authority said the water is receding.
