PART I: PARADE OF CAMARADERIE AND FRIENDSHIP

Venue: Brgy. Dalupirit, San Antonio, Northern Samar

CHRIST: Good morning, students, teachers, staff, and guests! Welcome

to the SAAVS Sports Fest 2024, a celebration of camaraderie,
athleticism, and teamwork. Today marks another exciting chapter for us
,as we come together in the spirit of sportsmanship and unity.

TRISSA: That’s righ partnert! This year’s theme, inspired by ancient

legends, pits two mighty teams against each other: The Knights of
Poseidon and The Descendants of Zeus. Let’s witness their strengths,
skills, and perseverance as they compete for glory!
TRISSA:By the way, I am Trissa Mae P. Madrid

CHRIST: and, I am Christ Jane Paul Mejos

Both: And we are….. your hosts for today.

CHRIST: We are here once again in another festival of strength,

power and camaraderie in this Intramurals 2024. As we
all know, school is a place where students are nurtured
toward becoming responsible and productive members
of society.

TRISSA: That is correct Partner. Intramurals is actually one

of the most awaited events in school for this is where
the students will be able to show their skills and
abilities in SPORTS. Intramurals encourages students to
have holistic and active lifestyles and practice the arts
of winning, losing, and teamwork.

CHRIST: Did you know partner that the word intramural came
from the word “intra”, meaning within, and “murus”
which means wall. With those words combined
together, intramurals means activities which are within
the school for the students to participate.
TRISSA:Another correct partner, this sports activity is actually
the application of knowledge and skills learned during
the lower years in Physical Education.

CHRIST: And as I mentioned a while ago that this activity is for

our students to participate, that also means that
students’ participation will greatly contribute to the
success of this school intramurals. And hopefully, we
can produce athletes that will qualify in the DISTRICT
and EVRA meet.

TRISSA:Wow Isn’t it amazing? Isn’t it exciting? But before we

formally start the program can we have an energy
check?

CHRIST: Sure partner, so as we call your team, give us the

biggest, loudest and grandest shout that you can ever
give.

KNIGHTS OF POSEIDON
TRISSA:Wow. That was a really full of energy. Now, to formally
start the program, let us all stand for the singing of the
Philippine National Anthem THRU AUDIO VISUAL
PRESENTATION.

CHRIST: To invoke blessings for today’s event, let us now bow

our heads in prayer led by Mr. Vincent E. Gabitan, Senior
High School Teacher I.

Trissa : And now let us sing along to the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn
followed by the DepEd Northern Samar Hymn via AUDIO
VISUAL PRESENTATION. Let’s join our voices in unity.

Trissa : Thank you very much . And now ,to welcome everyone
with words of encouragement and inspiration, let's give a warm
round of applause for Mr. Melvin C. Gabitan, MAPEH
Teacher I, Assistant School Sports Coordinator.

Trissa: Thank you very much Sir for your welcoming words .

CHRIST: And now, to reinvigorate everyone this morning,Let’s

take a moment to enjoy an energetic performance by our
students from Dance Sports (Unit I & II) in there DANCE
EXHIBITION.

Let’s give them a big round of applause as they bring energy and
creativity to the crowd.
TRISSA:Thank you very much dear students of San Antonio
Agricultural and Vocational School , what a stunning dance
performance it is,you are truly the pride and honor of our
school.

I think they deserve another big round of applause. I believe

that everyone is really fired up.

Hoisting of School Banner

With the spirit of competition in the air, we proceed with the hoisting of
the School Banner, assisted by our School Principal and Department
Heads.

CHRIST: Representing the competing units, we now invite

representatives from Unit I (Knights of Poseidon) and Unit II
(Descendants of Zeus) to hoist their banners."

CHRIST:Thank you very much to our School Principal ,

Department Heads and also representative of the competing
team . We truly believe that each of them spent time and effort
in managing, supporting and uplifting their own delegation
despite of their busy schedule, and I think, that alone deserves
another big round of applause.

Message of the Guest Speaker

TRISSA : At this occasion,we are honored to have with us today,
Mr. Joel A. Salor, Assistant Division Sports
Coordinator,who will inspire us with his message of
perseverance and excellence in sports. Let's give him a
big round of applause.

CHRIST: Thank you very much Sir for your inspiring message in
celebriting this momentous event.

Lighting of the Urn

TRISSA: Now, we move to one of the most significant moments

of today’s event – the lighting of the urn. Representing
our athletes, we call on Jerome C. Arante, Grade 11
Tourism Student and Provincial Athlete in Long
Jump.

The torch is a symbol of the harmony and goodwill which

represent the ideals of the
Olympic Games. Lighting the Torch serves as a symbol of the
concern and generosity of
the people of such community.

Athlete’s Oath of Amateurism

TRISSA: Our athletes pledge their commitment to the spirit of

sportsmanship and fair play.
Moving on, may we welcome,the pride of SAAVS, Leamy C.
Cuna, Grade 11 Tourism Student and Provincial Athlete in
the 100 & 200-meter run, to lead the Athlete’s Oath of
Amateurism . Athletes, please raise your right hand and repeat
after the leader as you pledge fairness and dedication to the
competition.

TRISSA:Thank you very much Leamy Cuna.

Oath of Technical and Officials and Coaches

Christ: It is now time for the Oath of Technical Officials and

Coaches, which will be led by Mr. Niel B. Soriano, Senior High
Teacher I and Basketball Coach, who will pledge for integrity
and impartiality in officiating the games.

Message

TRISSA: Next, we call upon Ma’am Fe C. Agaton, PIC-San

Antonio District, who will deliver a message to remind us of
the values that guide us, not only in sports but in life. Around of

CHRIST: Thank you very much ma’am for that wonderful

message.

TRISSA:And now, to formally declare the opening of the

SPORTS FEST 2024, may we welcome,Mr. Antonino M.
Fernando, School Sports Coordinator let’s give him a big

Cheerdance Presentation

TRISSA: And what’s a sports fest without a presentation in the

arts? Ladies and gentlemen, hold onto your seats because up
next is one of the most anticipated parts of today’s event—the
Cheerdance Presentation! A performance of rhythm,
creativity, and energy, where each team will showcase their
unity and school spirit!

CHRIST: Absolutely! This year’s theme pits two legendary

teams against each other—The Knights of Poseidon and The
Descendants of Zeus. Who will reign supreme in this clash of
titans? It’s time to find out!

TRISSA : First to take the CROWD is Unit 1: The Knights of

Poseidon! Get ready to be swept away by the power and might
of the seas as these students bring their unwavering strength,
just like their mighty God Poseidon. With their tridents raised
high, they’ll show us the power of unity and teamwork. Let’s
give them a huge round of applause!

_________ONCE AGAIN Unit I, Knights of

Poseidon______________
TRISSA : Wow! What an electrifying performance from Unit I:
Knights of Poseidon! their energy truly embodied the power and
might of the sea god himself. The choreography was sharp, and
the synchronization was impeccable—just like waves crashing in
perfect harmony. You could feel the strength and determination
in every move.
Knights of Poseidon, you’ve truly made your mark today!

CHRIST: Absolutely PARTNER! From the fluid movements to the

commanding presence, the Knights of Poseidon showcased not
just athletic artistry but also their team spirit. What an
impressive display of coordination and trust among team
members! What a way to show the true essence of their
unit—strong, united, and unstoppable.

TRISSA : Next up, prepare ourselves for the thunderous entry

of Unit 2: The Descendants of Zeus! Just like the ruler of the
skies himself, these STUDENTS are about to strike the floor with
the precision and power of lightning. Watch out as they electrify
the crowd with their performance, fueled by the wisdom and
energy of their namesake. Let’s give them a warm round of
applause!

TRISSA :And now, Unit II: Descendants of Zeus have set the
phase ablaze! If the Knights ruled the seas, these Descendants
ruled the skies. Their performance was electrifying, just like the
thunderbolts of Zeus. The energy they brought was sky-high—
bold, fierce, and intense. Their confidence shone through with
every dance moves, truly embodying the divine power of their
namesake.

CHRIST: I couldn’t agree more! The Descendants of Zeus

danced like lightning, fast and unstoppable, leaving us all in
awe. The precision, creativity, and execution were top-notch.
Their teamwork was seamless, and the choreography told a
story of dominance and grace, much like the god of the heavens
they represent. They definitely gave the Knights a run for their
wealth with that powerful performance.

TRISSA : You know partner ,Both teams gave us an outstanding

show that will surely be remembered. The Knights of
Poseidon with their ocean-like grace and strength, and the
Descendants of Zeus with their lightning-fast precision and
power. What an incredible show of talent and teamwork! You
can see the hard work, dedication, and passion they poured into
their routines. It’s truly a testament to the spirit of camaraderie
and teamwork that we are celebrating today.
CHRIST: IF THIS is a competition partner, surely they are all
winners for showcasing their talents, determination, and
sportsmanship. It’s performances like these that make our
sports fest so special. Thank you, Unit 1 and Unit 2, for such
electrifying presentations!
CHRIST: ONCE AGAIN LET’S GIVE THEM A BIG ROUND OF

Message and Closing Remarks

TRISSA: And now as we wrap up our opening program, we now

invite our very supportive and brilliant Secondary School
Principal II, MR.VINANCIO G. ALBASIN JR., to deliver
his closing remarks. Around of aplause pls.

everyone.

TRISSA:And that concludes the formal program for today’s

opening ceremonies!
On behalf of the San Antonio Agricultural and Voctional School
Family, we are already congratulating all our students. We look
forward to a good game and a good fight that everyone should
enjoy. Just don’t forget to manifest responsible actions in
accordance to the rules and regulations that the committee had
set for this sportsfest!

CHRIST: As we wrap up today’s exhilarating opening ceremony,

we’d like to take this moment to extend our gratitude to
everyone who made this event possible—our dedicated
teachers, tireless organizers, and of course, our enthusiastic
students.

TRISSA : A special thanks ALSO to our guest speakers,visitors,

and sponsors for their invaluable contributions. Most
importantly, we thank all of you, our athletes and participants,
for your unwavering school spirit and dedication to making this
sports fest an event to remember.
