Scenario: Designing a Network Infrastructure for Large-Sized Business

Background: You are tasked with designing a network infrastructure for two building each has
G+7 and G+5 respectively including the ground with approximately 30 employees in each floor.
The company operates in the financial services sector and requires a robust and secure network
to handle its day-to-day operations, including client transactions, data storage, and
communication between departments. The network infrastructure needs to support both wired
and wireless connections, and ensure high availability, scalability, and strong security measures
to protect sensitive financial data.

Scope and Requirements:

 Network Architecture: Design a scalable and resilient network architecture that can
accommodate the company's current needs and future growth.
 Wired and Wireless Connectivity: Provide both wired and wireless connectivity
throughout the office space to accommodate various devices such as desktop computers,
laptops, smartphones, and tablets.
 Security: Implement robust security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data
breaches, and cyber threats.

Design Considerations:
Core Network Infrastructure: Deploy a redundant core network infrastructure consisting of
switches and routers to provide connectivity between different network segments and ensure
high availability.

 Access Layer: Implement access layer switches to connect end-user devices such as
computers, printers, and IP phones to the network.
 Wireless Access Points (WAPs):
 VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks)
 Firewall and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS
 Virtual Private Network (VPN
 Backup and Disaster Recovery
 Database server and web server
 Internet service up to 10 Gbps
