Executive Summary:
According to Simon Sinek, a leader must act like a father who instills
confidence in their children and keeps them safe. I really believe that trust and
cooperation will follow if a leader assists their team members in developing trust and
enables them to feel safe. When you foster a culture of trust as a leader, your team is
much more likely than teams with low levels of trust to take chances, ask questions,
own up to mistakes, and provide fresh ideas. This is not surprising because trusting
others makes people feel more secure, allowing everyone to concentrate their efforts on
improving the lives of the people they are trusted to serve rather than constantly
evaluating their position.

The idiom "No man is an island" refers to the idea that nobody is alone in this
world. Every member of the organization engages in social interaction with others. He
or she must interact with people from all facets of society. As a school administrator,
you effectively communicate through relating to those around you. You have a huge
obligation to ensure that teachers perform their roles effectively and harmoniously.
Every task we undertake throughout the course of the day revolves around
communication with others. It is the line that ties the specific organization's actions to
its desired goals. Additionally, it is how people communicate their feelings, thoughts,
wants, and requirements.
With the leadership and strong determination of Mr. Roy M. Dalafu,Head Teacher III
of Monte Alegre Elementary School implementing DO n0. 24, s. 2020, the Basic

SERVICE AS PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL HEAD

A SCHOOL HEAD MUST EXHIBIT LEADERSHIP.

A school head must exhibit leadership. This is a characteristic that every school
leader must possess. The principal is the instructional leader of their building. A good
leader must take responsibility for the successes and the failures of their school. A
good leader puts the needs of others in front of their own. A good leader is always
looking to improve their school and then figures out how to make those improvements
no matter how difficult it might be. Leadership defines how successful any school is. A
school without a leader will likely fail, and a principal who is not a leader will find
themselves without a job quickly.

A SCHOOL HEAD MUST BE ADEPT AT BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

A principal must be adept at building relationships with people. If you don’t like
people, you shouldn't be a principal. You must be able to connect with each person
that you deal with on a daily basis. You must find common ground and earn their
trust. There are so many groups of people that principals deal with daily including
their superintendent, teachers, support staff, parents, students, & community
members. Every group requires a different approach and individuals within a group
are unique. You never know what is going to walk into your office next. People come in
with a variety of emotions including happiness, sadness, and anger. You must be able
to deal with each of those situations effectively by connecting to the person and
showing them that you care about their unique situation. They must believe that you
will do whatever you can to make their situation better.
A SCHOOL HEAD MUST BE AN EXCELLENT LISTENER.
You never know when an angry student, a disgruntled parent, or an upset
teacher is going to walk into your office. You must be prepared to deal with those
situations, and that starts with being an exceptional listener. You can avoid the most
difficult situations simply by showing them that you care enough to listen to what they
want to say. When someone wants to meet with you because they feel wronged in
some way, you need to hear them out. It doesn’t mean that you let them bash another
person continuously. You can be firm on not letting them belittle a teacher or student
but allow them to vent without being disrespectful to another person. Be willing to go
to the next step in helping them resolve issues. Sometimes that might be mediating
between two students who have had a disagreement. Sometimes it might be having a
discussion with a teacher to get their side of a story and then relaying that to the
parent in any case, it all begins with listening.
LEADERSHIP WITH A HEART AND WISDOM
According to Kevin Eikenberry You don't have to have a positive attitude
to have a leadership even have to have it to lead. But you must have a positive
attitude if you want to lead successfully for an extended period of time. A specific
description of what I mean when I say "positive attitude” will be saved for another
day. Positive attitude as an expectancy that good things will generally happen, and a
healthy optimism for the future for your profession, team, yourself, and life in
general.
School leaders are always dealing with teachers, parents, and school
children. As a leader, whatever industry you are in, you, too, are in the energy
business. Remember that whatever energy you bring to your work will be noticed
and amplified. Your personal attitude is a huge part of the energy you inject into
your team and organization. If you aren't injecting positive, supportive, and
encouraging thoughts and actions into the workplace, it is far less likely that others
will either. You can't rely on someone else to do this for you—you are a leader.

POSITIVE CREATES PRODUCTIVITY

All that are productive are those who work positively. They had the capability
of turning negative thoughts and action into positive and productive. This kind of
person always stands for a certain purpose, improvement, and production. If
you are wondering if it is possible for one person to change the attitude or
environment in an organization, and therefore have an impact. I have described and
remember this: Enthusiasm is contagious, and someone must inject that energy
into a group, team, or organization for it to grow. Positive energy doesn't happen
automatically, someone must start. As in many other ways, leaders must go first.
You must go first if you want to be a more successful leader and have a bigger
impact on you lead and serve, focus on your attitude and know as you change your
thinking and your attitude, your actions will start to change your work, your team
and your world.
