ACSC Basketball Tournament
Time-rule
1 The preliminary game consists of two halfs of 12 minutes each. There is a three-minutes interval between the first and second half.
2 The final game consists of two half of 15 minutes each. There is a five-minutes interval between the first and second half.
3 Team to switch court between first and second half.
4 The time stop when referee's whistle blow, until player touches the ball.
5 Other time-rules not mentioned thereafter is up to the discretion of referee regardless whether it is mentioned beforehand.
Game rule
1 Only five players per team on the court. Up to 4 registered reserve players is allowed for substitution.
2 Team who got the highest mark within the given time won the game.
3 Player in the same team shall wear the same colour sport shirt
4 All player shall have sport wear, sport shoes in order to enter the court. Unsuitable outfit will affect the performance and possibly causing injury.
5 All team to draw the entering sequence before the match
6 All team will play 2 matches in the preliminary round, the top 2 highest ranked teams is eligible to enter into final.
7 The group ranking system is counted as below:
i. Win = 2 points
ii. Win (by forfeit) = 2 points
iii. Loss = 1 point
iv. Loss by default (team is unable to continue due to players being ejected/disqualified/injured) = 1 point
v. Loss by forfeit (team fails to appear for a scheduled game, or withdraws from the court before the end of the game) = 0 points
8 In case any level in ranking score to enter final game, the team with the highest total score in the preliminary match will take precedence.
Scoring rule
1 Outside the three-point line (3pts) — the highest number of points that can be achieved is when a basket is scored from outside the three-point line.
2 Inside the three-point line (2pts) — any basket shot inside the line earns two points.
3 Free throw (1pt) — a free throw from the free-throw line is worth one point. It is an unchallenged shot at the basket, awarded after a foul by the opposition.
Basketball infringement
1 Personal foul — this is when illegal body contact occurs between opposing players. Common examples are charging, blocking, holding, illegal guarding, pushing,
illegal screening, hand checking, and illegal hand use. A personal foul results in either a player taking free throws or a team losing possession of the ball.
2 Charging — called by the official when an attacking player moving with the ball runs straight into a defender.
3 Blocking — a defensive player may not stand in the way or ‘block’ a dribbling player unless that defender has established a legal guarding stance.
4 Holding — this is when personal contact is made with an opponent to slow their movement.
5 Illegal guarding — when a defending player bumps into an opponent from behind.
6 Pushing — this is exactly as it sounds, and applies even when a player does not have possession of the ball.
7 Illegal screening — an attempt to slow down or stop an opponent who does not have control of the ball.
8 Hand checking — when a defending player uses their hands to grab or slow an opponent.
9 Illegal hand use — when contact is made on an opponent when they are attempting to release the ball.

2 The organizing team reserve the right to amend any clauses stated or non-stated either by written in any communication channel or verbal announce during the
event day. Player should pay attention to all announcement by the committee team.
3 The referee has the right to make any decision within the game period.
4 The organizing team reserve the right to disqualify any team or player at any period of time if misbehavior is found.
5 The participating team shall be punctual to all matches, and meeting when required. Failed to show up on time might results in penalties or disqualification.
