APPLICATION AND ASSESSMENT

1. Creative Work. Propose a program in school or community that will


raise the awareness of the students and to help eliminate sexually
transmitted diseases especially among the youth.

● I will joint the IKnowUShould2 campaign it is a media campaign,


started in 2012, targeted at Philadelphia youth ages 13-24. The
campaign aims to improve adolescent knowledge and testing
behaviors for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) such as
gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and HIV. Spearheaded by the
Adolescent Initiative at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), the
campaign makes use of both traditional media (print advertisements,
radio, hotline) and social media (website, Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram, YouTube). PolicyLab’s role is to evaluate the campaign’s
success in improving STI knowledge and testing rates among
Philadelphia adolescents. And for me this campaign are very helpful in
every youth to have awareness in sexually transmitted diseases by
this campaign they will learn everything or the different diseases that
easily transmitted to one another.

Moreover, if I wil propose a program I will conduct it in our


community or school by conducting a seminar about Sexually
Transmitted Diseases that will raise the awareness of the students or
every individual and to help eliminate sexually transmitted disease
especially among the youth. By conducting this seminar they become
more knowledgeable about the this thus, they will learn to avoid it as
soon as possible.
2. Agree or Disagree. Are you in favor of legalizing marriage among
homosexuals and transgenders? Why?

● I am in favor of legalizing marriage among homosexuals and


transgenders because, as individuals, we have human rights that
allow us to do all things we want with limitations. As such, we already
know the right and wrong deeds. As for them, they have their own
choice to make themselves happy, and they'll find it with the same
sex. Therefore, legalizing marriage among homosexuals and
transgenders is not bad because they only want to do the things that
make them happy. Furthermore, I am aware that it is not acceptable
in the eyes of others, as our God only created women and men in this
world; our bible states that a man is for a woman, not for a man, and
vice versa."New York's legalization of gay marriage is symbolic of a
global trend from South Africa to Canada, Argentina, Portugal, and
beyond, where same-sex marriage is becoming a fact of life and law."
At the very moment, homosexual and transgender couples are
rushing to embrace it, so I am in favor of marriage equality,
considering it is for everyone, and all we can do is to respect them and
avoid discrimination.
