Conceptual Framework- written or visual presentation that explains either graphically, or in

narrative form

Research Literatures- literatures obtained from scholarly journal

Hypothesis- tentative answer or prediction about the relationship between two or more
variables in quantitative studies.

Operational definition- term is defined according to how it operates in research or how it is used in
research.

Concept map- Made up of varied figure, lines, circles, boxes and other marks or symbols
representing your concepts.

Conceptual Framework- It is a graphical presentation of your concepts or ideas on the basic structure or
components of your research.

Literature Review- It is a review of what has been published on a particular topic.

Conceptual Literature- These are literatures that comes from the book

High level of research skills leads to a high level of research productivity- Directional hypothesis

Random Sampling- These are technique use wherein each member of the population has a
chance of being selected

Thematic review-. In this type of literature the researcher discusses only the major ideas or
results from studies rather that the detail.

Lexical definition- This definition is defined according to authoritative sources.

IMRAD- Format used in APA 6

Convenience sampling-.In this technique individual who are available and easy to reach by the
researcher constitute the sample

Descriptive longitudinal design- This is also categorized as descriptive research since it describes
conditions that already exists, it examines the effect of an independent or predictor variable that cannot
manipulated by the researcher

Causal Relationship- Relationship that arise from cause and effects

Population- It is defined as the collection of all counts that are of interest that composed of
people or things

Descriptive questions- Questions which are designed to describe what exists or what is going on.
Research design-. It is a pre conceived plan a researcher employs which enables him to conduct
his research in a systematic fashion.

Citation- Means systematic showing what information or ideas you are quoting or paraphrasing
from another author’s work and where they come from
