Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times "Legendary" feels like a celebration, just by existing. Jul 8, 2020 Full Review Inkoo Kang The Hollywood Reporter Not even Wesley's talents can turn these muddled proceedings into an event. Jul 8, 2020 Full Review Jude Dry IndieWire It all comes together in a mind-boggling fantasia of ingenuity and beautiful queer culture. Rated: B Jun 2, 2020 Full Review EJ Moreno EJ Moreno This is history in the making. A major streaming service offered up an honest look at a long-overlooked sub-culture, and it looks so fierce! Jan 29, 2021 Full Review Evan Sawdey PopMatters Legendary is a profoundly fun show, and despite all the drama and eliminations, it's still great to see Black and Latinx entertainers win prizes and succeed on a national stage. Jul 8, 2020 Full Review Leslie Katz CNET Individual backstories, shared from an empty industrial space before the camera cuts to performers on the dimly lit dance floor, come across as perfunctory, lacking the depth that makes you want to root for someone you get to know on TV. Audience Member This show makes me so happy on so many levels. I love seeing the ballroom scene in action - queer/POC being beautiful, creative, and strong in face of adversity. It's so extraordinary and such a privilege to watch this community. The judges are a dream team: Law Roach - THE fashion icon who's always looking good and ALWAYS cracking me up. Jameela Jamil - She might legit be the most beautiful woman on the planet, I mean my god. She's also hella funny and has the biggest heart on the show. Megan Thee Stalion - She is the baddest mothafuckn bitch on the planet, OK?! I really can't think of anyone cooler than her. Leiomy - MOTHER! She is legendary herself and all her feedback and scores for the houses are always on point. Host is the best: Deshaun West who is dreamy and fabulous. I also should add that the cinematography and music is the best out of any reality tv show I've ever seen! OMG. HBO: well job. Bring on more POC/queer representation please. This is what Ballroom looks like when the participants have money, designers, and professional choreographers. For years I have binged youTube videos of Ballroom performances. This is next level. I need more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member What a glorious celebration of dance, vogue, costumes and so much more. A true experience for the eyes and the soul, one cannot watch legendary and not feel at least a tingle of pride in our LGBTQ culture Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
