The Oklahoma Mesonet conducts cutting edge research utilizing its high resolution and research quality data. From data mining and statistical analyses to field projects and instrument evaluations, the Mesonet strives to better understand Oklahoma’s dynamic weather and remain abreast of new meteorological technologies.

Research Expertise

The research team at the Oklahoma Mesonet includes scientists, staff, and students with a wide variety of backgrounds spanning weather, climate, and societal impacts.  Specifically, the Oklahoma Mesonet research team includes experts focused on:

Collaboration

The Oklahoma Mesonet collaborates with local and international partners to drive research that increases our understanding of weather and climate across Oklahoma. Anyone who is interested in collaborative research using data from the Oklahoma Mesonet should email Dr. Brad Illston (illston@ou.edu; Subject: Collaborative Research).
