Patty Malcolm's journey into the world of acting started at an early age. Born in a small mill-town in Washington State, she got her first agent in Portland, Oregon at the age of 16, which led to modeling and commercial work. After high school, Patty moved to Seattle to join a two-year Conservatory program at the former Northwest Actor's Studio, where she earned her SAG Card by appearing in commercials and independent short films. Her dreams of working in television and film led her to eventually make the move to Los Angeles.
Patty has always been committed to improving her acting skills, studying with esteemed coaches such as Diana Castle from The Imagined Life and taking improvisation classes at UCB (Upright Citizens Brigade). She has also learned from various other coaches, including Glen Morshower from The Extra Mile, Jerry Grennell from Bow Street (Ireland), Margie Haber, William Alderson for the Meisner technique, and many others along the way.
In her free time, Patty enjoys playing the banjo and spending time at the barn with horses. Additionally, Patty has been a dedicated vegan for most of her life, embracing a plant-based lifestyle and promoting compassion for animals and the environment. She became a certified plant-based chef in 2016 and started a website called ChickfoodTV to share her favorite recipes with friends and family. She actively advocates for sustainable and cruelty-free choices that minimize her ecological footprint.
Patty Malcolm and her husband, Matthew Emerzian, a motivational author and speaker, reside in Los Angeles with their four rescued fur kids. They strive to make a positive impact in the world around them.
