- Her character in Criminal Minds, Ann Herron, lived in the same house that was used as Ferris Bueller's house in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

- She is related to John Matoian, her uncle by marriage. Matoian is a businessman and television industry executive. He was a vice-president of the CBS Entertainment division. He later became the president of Entertainment at Fox Broadcasting in September 1995. In 1996 he became the president of HBO.
