Students and staff have returned to buildings on the Florida State University campus to retrieve their belongings a day after a gunman opened fire, killing two people and wounding at least six others. A steady stream of mourners flocked to a memorial near the student union Friday. The university later held a moment of silence during an evening vigil on its Tallahassee campus. Leon County Sheriff Walter McNeil says the suspect who was taken into custody Thursday is the son of a sheriff's deputy. A federal judge who blocked Donald Trump’s administration from dismantling the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has ruled that the agency can’t go forward immediately with plans to fire hundreds of employees.
