What a time to be alive - reaction to first Toronto Raptors championship

For the first time in their 24-year franchise history, the Toronto Raptors won the NBA championship, closing out the Golden State Warriors in six games with a 114-110 victory at Oracle Arena.

The entire series was eventful, featuring nine starting lineups by Golden State, multiple comebacks, inspiring returns, devastating injuries and heart-stopping performances. Toronto taking a 3-1 series lead set up the narrative that the Warriors would atone for their own 3-1 misadventure in the 2016 NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But the Raptors, led by 2014 and now 2019 NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, found a way to prevent a Golden State three-peat. Here's a social media commentary of how it all went down in Thursday night's title-clinching odyssey.
