Anna Kalinskaya — May 2024 to Present
Jannik Sinner began dating Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya since at least May 2024, with the two seen supporting each other at the French Open. Sinner later confirmed the romance in a press conference. “Yes, I’m with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential. I won’t say more,” he told media. Kalinskaya is three years older than Sinner.
In a June interview with Vanity Fair Italia, Sinner spoke about the romance again, saying that maintaining a relationship was “not easy”. “Of course it’s not easy, I travel a lot and during tournaments. I’m very focused,” he said. “But I think it’s a beautiful thing when you find the right love. Like for everyone. And then, if you think about it, the best tennis players in the world all have wives and children.”
The first controversy struck when, during an interview in November 2024, Sinner reportedly responded to a question about his relationship with Kalinskaya by saying “I cannot afford to change.” After these comments, the pair unfollowed each other on Instagram. After Kyrgios took issue with Sinner’s alleged doping scandal in 2024, a commentator appeared on Andy Roddick’s Served podcast to claim Kyrgios had a problem with Sinner dating his ex-girlfriend. Jannik Sinner was formerly linked to Italian model Maria Braccini. The 23-year-old cultivated fame in her own right, with a successful modelling and content creator career. But despite boasting over 220k followers on Instagram, Braccini seems to prefer to live outside of the spotlight, with her account set to ‘private’.
According to the source, Braccini’s closest friends come from the modelling and tennis industry. “She does not like spending time with strangers, and it is hard for her to make new friends. Maria is an introvert who likes to spend her time alone,” they added.
Jannik and Braccini were an item since 2020, but possibly split in early 2024, before Sinner began dating Kalinskaya. A quick glance at Jannik’s Instagram profile shows the tennis star deliberately chose to keep his romantic life offline. “Whether or not I am with a girl will never be known on social media, because I want to keep my private life private,” Sinner said of this decision. “I don’t need to post a photo to show whether I’m engaged. I never posted pictures with my parents, maybe one with my brother.”
