Teaching
“Excellence in teaching” is a central element of Bowdoin's mission to educate and inspire our students.
Working in concert with other campus offices, the Office of the Dean for Academic Affairs provides numerous resources to support faculty in their roles as teachers, advisors, and mentors. This includes funding for the development and enrichment of courses, the provision of opportunities for faculty to reflect upon and develop their pedagogical practice, and support for attentive and inclusive approaches to student advising.
