Jacob enters the 2024 season in his third year as the Assistant General Manager of the Otterbots. He is the creator and producer of the OtterPod, the official podcast of the Danville Otterbots. Jacob serves as the liaison and member of the Halifax County Chamber of Commerce. He also regularly mentors students from his alma mater, Providence College, as well as students at more local universities such as James Madison University.

After growing up just 40 minutes outside of Boston in Franklin, Mass., Jacob developed a strong passion for baseball, specifically the Red Sox. Jacob continued his love for the game through his childhood to his time at Providence College where he re-established the baseball program after a 21-year hiatus. As a student, he was charged with scouting, coaching, and all business and baseball operations. He graduated in the Spring of 2022 with a degree in Marketing with certifications in digital and media marketing and has a member of the Providence College Marketing Fellowship Program.

He began his professional career in baseball during the 2021 season as an intern with the Worcester Red Sox, a Triple-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Through his first exposure to Minor League Baseball, he quickly learned the ins and outs of working in such a fast-paced industry. When Jacob wasn’t on the field dressed as Captain America or inside inflatable battle balls, he was deepening his knowledge in various areas such as ticket sales, corporate sponsorships, marketing, merchandising, and concessions. He also created a game-day and special event paying homage to the WooSox's predecessor, the Pawtucket Red Sox. Elements of his plan, including adopting the PawSox persona for a game, were implemented during the 2022 season.

After learning what it takes to establish a fan base, Jacob looked for a new, exciting challenge that brought him to American Legion Field. The charm of the River District and the history of baseball drew him in as he quickly learned the passion the city of Danville has for baseball. When he's not at the ballpark, you can find him strolling the streets of the River District with his puppy, Sadie, hanging out at Ballad, watching any and all Boston Sports because they're the best in the world, or out on the course playing 18 holes.

Wyatt enters the 2024 season in his third year as the coordinator of fun for the Otterbots. He serves as the team’s on-field emcee and brings the energy to the ballpark each and every night. At the young age of 20, Wyatt is starting off his career in sports which has been a lifelong dream to fulfill. He is no stranger to starting things at a young age -- when he was just 13 he began training to become a professional wrestler. After paying his dues and putting in years of work, he reached his dream at 15 and is now doing what he loves. You may see Wyatt at the ballpark high-fiving fans, playing games on the field and kicking it with Scotter, but on the weekends he’s taking care of business inside of the squared circle. He is a proud local of the Dan River Region and isn’t ashamed of his roots, which is represented well in his wrestling moniker: “The River City Wrecking Ball” Wyatt Sutton.

Born and raised right down the road in Ringgold, Va., just a few miles from American Legion Field, Wyatt fell in love with sports and entertainment at a very young age. He’s always been an old soul with an outgoing personality and always has a lot to say. His first love came in professional wrestling, a world that let him escape from reality. The drama, the production, the athleticism and the big fight feel atmosphere was what attached him as a youngster.

Wyatt attended Dan River Senior High School and was a member of the wrestling team for two years and the football team for four. Most of his childhood summers were spent on a football field preparing for the fall season to start. Wyatt graduated from Dan River in 2021 and became a part of the Otterbots family shortly thereafter. In their inaugural season, the Otterbots took a chance on a young kid who loved pro wrestling to become the face of their baseball team, and the rest is history. After just a few weeks of being at the ballpark and experiencing all of the family fun and big time moments, he quickly fell in love with the game. Wyatt stated in his first interview with the team that he “isn’t really a baseball guy,” but by the end of the season, he couldn’t get enough of it and is now quite the fan of the game. (Go Cubbies)

He couldn’t be more grateful to be a member of the Danville Otterbots front office and not only help better the fan experience, but help in putting Danville back on the map as one of the fastest growing cities in the mid-Atlantic. If he is not at the ballpark, Wyatt can be found inside of a wrestling ring, at a football game, playing some video games, blasting country music or, most importantly, yelling endlessly at his television while watching his Chicago Bears.
