At SUNY Oswego, the residential environment plays a major role in each student's overall University experience.
Living on campus provides students the opportunity to connect and engage outside the classroom. Housing options range from traditional residence halls to suite-style housing to townhomes and all full-time students are invited to live on-campus.
Please read the University Housing Policy below carefully before applying for housing. All SUNY Oswego students must adhere to this policy. Contact Residence Life and Housing with any questions at 315-312-2246 or by emailing [email protected].

¹ Semester room rates are based on the date of matriculation into a degree program in accordance with the “Oswego Guarantee.” Each student’s rate is further broken down by room and/or occupancy type; the specific hall does not influence room rates. The “Oswego Guarantee” DOES NOT APPLY to Summer housing.
² The Residential Rate includes the cost of room, utilities, internet, laundry, academic-year break housing, a fitness center membership, and 24/7 support from caring professionals. Single occupancy in a design double is authorized by the Assistant Vice President for Residence Life and Housing only after the demand for standard accommodations has been satisfied.
³ Plus Occupancy is authorized by the Assistant Vice President for Residence Life and Housing when standard accommodations are not available due to over-subscription. Plus Occupancy is defined as Standard Occupancy plus one (such as three persons in a double room, four persons in a triple room, etc.). Persons in these accommodations will be reassigned to standard accommodations as space becomes available and will be subject to an appropriate rate adjustment per quarter. Students assigned to Plus Occupancy and remain there one week after the first day of classes will receive an adjustment in their housing charges until they can be moved to a standard occupancy space.
Please Note: Rates are subject to change by action of the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York.
