NFKB2

NFKB2

A gene on chromosome 10q24 that encodes a kappa light polypeptide of NF-kappaB (nuclear factor-kappaB), a rapidly acting primary transcription factor which is found in all cell types and involved in cellular responses to stimuli, including cytokines and stress. NF-kappaB plays a key role in regulating the immune response to infection; it is involved in various biological processes including inflammation, immunity, differentiation, cell growth, tumourigenesis and apoptosis.

Our results show that IRF9, STAT2, and NFKB2 are important TFs during the progression of DN.
Defects in the transmembrane activator and calcium-modulator and cyclophilin ligand interactor (TACI), inducible costimulator (ICOS), B-cell-activating factor receptor (BAFF-R), and nuclear factor kappa B subunit 2 (NFKB2) genes have been identified in some patients with CVID [1, 6, 7].
Effects of MEKT1 on mRNA Expression of Nur77, Nurr1, NeuroD1, Tpit, Pitx, NFkB1, and NFkB2. We next examined the effect of MEKT1 on mouse Nur77, Nurr1, NeuroD1, Tpit, Pitx, NFkB1, and NFkB2 mRNA expression in AtT20 cells.
coli had a greater response to the bacterial challenge via up-regulation of genes associated with 'acute phase response signaling', i.e., interleukin-6 (IL6) and nuclear factor NF-kappa-B p100 subunit (NFKB2), than cows with high-susceptibility to mastitis (Brand et al., 2011).
Target gene expression for Pprc1 (Q6NZN1), Nrf1, Nrf2, Btrc (Q3ULA2) and Nfkb2 (Q9WTK5) was measured with FAM (6-carboxyfluorescein) reporter dye-labeled probes (see Table S5).
The major form of NF-[kappa]B is a heterodimer of the p50 and p65/RelA subunits which are encoded by the NFKB1 and NFKB2 genes, respectively [4].
We selected six genes in the DLBCL data, which are SPIB, IRF8, NFKB2, LMO2, FCGRT, and BCL7B.

The other downregulated genes found in these patients were MTOR, NFKB2, and IL12RB2 (Table 3).
Five members of the NFkB family have been identified: NFkB1 (p50/pl05), NFkB2 (p52/pl00), RelA (p65), RelB, and c-Rel.
