C. Auguste Dupin es un detective parisian belletristic qui es un personage in le obra de Edgar Allan Poe. Ille es la protagonista de tres del contos per Poe: "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" (1841), "The Mystery of Marie Roget" (1842), e "The Purloined Letter" (1844).
A causa de iste contos, Poe es considerate le creator del genere moderne de fiction detective.[1][2][3]
