HECUBA, in Greek legend, the second wife of Priam, king of Troy, to whom she bore 19 children induding Hector, Paris, Cassandra and Troilus. After the fall of Troy she was given as a slave to Odysseus, and according to one form of the legend, in despair leaped into the Hellespont.
