Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Nick Jordan (character), did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Deirdre Barlow, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Do not use other wikis as sources to attempt to prove your point Rain the 1 14:43, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Template:Emmerdale characters, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. - JuneGloom Talk 18:00, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on List of Coronation Street characters (1991) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:04, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary for your edits. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Rain the 1 20:24, 21 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Igby Goes Down, you may be blocked from editing. You removed correct information from this article Rain the 1 21:43, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by inserting unpublished information or your personal analysis into an article, as you did at Megan Jossa, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Kevin Pallister. The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:10, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Kevin Pallister has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Sam Pearson

[edit]

Please can you describe Sam's circumstances to me please. Was it like Mia - left then died. Jack when the actor died? Or did he die within the series but his death not shown - but like was he brought out of the house in a bag, or taken away by ambulance?Rain the 1 16:37, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

He last appeared in September 1984, according to the article, then he died two months later, so, I think, his death was in the series, but it wasn't shown. I'm not exactly sure.

Surprise!

[edit]

Here's a surprise for it: [1] Turns out that Amblin Entertainment was never founded until 1981. --172.127.114.25 (talk) 16:41, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That’s exactly what it says on the newspaper. Amblin's first credited film was Continental Divide, whereas the previous Spielberg films I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Used Cars both got it uncredited. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:B570:E32D:9077:C393 (talk) 17:47, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
OK. The 1975 newspaper found out that Amblin Entertainment was not founded in 1981. That make all things cleared up. It was named "Amblin’ Production Co." not "Amblin Entertainment". --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:89EA:72E4:97DB:14B5 (talk) 20:04, 22 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Bonus points. The company was incorporated [shorturl.at/iDEL7 11 years ago before it was actually founded]. Well, a 1983 newspaper used the "Amblin Productions" name, as it appears to be the old name for Amblin Entertainment, as the logo didn't exist yet until the next year with the release Gremlins. If you check on the Variety archives so we have to find the magazine with the word "Amblin" in it spanning the years from 1968 (the Amblin short was made) to 1984 (the year Gremlins was released). --172.127.114.25 (talk) 00:19, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well interesting. This isn’t a joke. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:AD8A:3BAE:D791:5AD (talk) 11:27, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Amblin name was used as early as 1970 on a company. --172.127.114.25 (talk) 00:35, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That is 11 years away from 1981. --2600:1700:4300:2C8F:1823:8026:E8E0:1159 (talk) 21:45, 29 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:40, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Metro (1997 film), you may be blocked from editing. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 01:49, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno episodes (1996–1999), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Davy Jones and Jack Riley.
