Personal Life
[edit]Jacob married Thelma Gustaveson on July 8, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died on January 31, 1969, in Laie, Hawaii. He died on January 30, 1970 of a sudden heart attack in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 56.
Jacob was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as the first president of the Socorro Branch and wrote a letter comparing the account of the Creation in Genesis with the version that appears in the Pearl of Great Price.
