Proposal

[edit]

I suggest this page is renamed to one of the following, given Mozilla is no longer steward of the project (and hasn't been for a few years now):

  • Open Badges
  • IMS Open Badges
  • Open Badges specification
  • Open Badges standard

Notification

[edit]

We are a group of people working with Mozilla Open Badges and we are discussing a series of suggestions we would like to submit to the reflection of Wikipedians for possible revisions:

Staging page for 'Digital badges': https://wiki.mozilla.org/Open_Badges/Wikipedia/staging/Digital_Badges

Staging page for 'Mozilla Open Badges': https://wiki.mozilla.org/Open_Badges/Wikipedia/staging/Mozilla_Open_Badges

This is still "work in progress", but we thought that it might a good idea to establish an initial contact. Serge (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:12, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal

[edit]

We propose this page be renamed 'Open Badge Infrastructure' and details of Open Badges themselves be moved to a sub-section of the current 'Digital badges' Wikipedia page. This page would then become a place for information on the Mozilla OBI and the broader ecosystem of open badges rather than the badges themselves. --Jadeforester (talk) 12:45, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I propose deletion for non-notability

[edit]

I propose that this page be deleted. It's a commercial effort and one without particular traction. This seems to just be a marketing page for the people actually doing the project, rather than encyclopedia material. We don't need no stinking badges. Shall we start a page on "digital corpuscles" or "digital sketches" while we're at it? Gnuish (talk) 22:55, 8 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
