Alexis Brunelle-Duceppe MP (born July 1, 1979)[1] is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2019 election.[2] He represents the electoral district of Lac-Saint-Jean as a member of the Bloc Québécois.
Political career
[edit]Since 2021 he has served as the critic of immigration, refugees, citizenship and human rights in the Bloc Québécois Shadow Cabinet.[3]
In November 2024, after reporting revealed that an Iranian assassination attempt against former Montreal Liberal MP Irwin Cotler had been stopped, Brunelle-Duceppe introduced a motion condemning the attack, which was adopted by unanimous consent of the House.[4]
Personal life
[edit]He is the son of former party leader Gilles Duceppe.[5]
