"I like to think (and the sooner the better!) of a cybernetic meadow where mammals and computers live together in mutually programming harmony like pure water touching clear sky."
Richard Brautigan, "All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace", 1967
About me
My name is Patrick Earley. I'm a British Columbian, from the Interior of the province (hence the username). I mostly edit topics related to Canada, but will branch out on occasion to anything that catches my attention. There are many aspects of Wikipedia that interest me; at present I'm involved with The Wikipedia Library, where I help coordinate the project with Ocaasi, Sadads, and Nikkimaria. Outside of Wikipedia, I work for the Wikimedia Foundation as a Community Advocate.
Notice
Although I work for the Wikimedia Foundation, contributions under this account are exclusively in my individual, personal capacity. To contact me in my role as Community Advocate, please leave your message at User talk:PEarley (WMF). To speak to me as a volunteer on Wikipedia, please leave your message at User talk:The Interior.
Thank you for reverting the vandalism on my userpage. Much appreciated! ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 14:59, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

I used my new JSTOR access in anger for the first time today - it's fantastic. Just wanted to drop by and say thank you for your hard work organising that project. Hope you enjoyed Wikimania! Yunshui雲水 13:19, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
The Barnstar of Diligence
WMF takes a lot of heat, and sometimes deservedly so, but the work you do in helping content creators get access to scholarly resources to help improve articles is of unparalleled importance, and for that, I say thank you -- this is one program in which WMF ought to continue to invest!
