I am a Canadian with an interest in the languages and cultures of East Asia.
I have left Wikipedia, perhaps for good. I love language. I love writing, editing, reading, and learning. Wikipedia is a fascinating, dynamically evolving collection of words and ideas, opinions and arguments. I have enjoyed participating in this great, strange, wonderful project, but it is time to move on. My favourite contribution has been to the article on the historical Eight Provinces of Korea, into which the country was divided from the 15th to the 19th centuries, and which is the starting point for learning about Korea's regional geography. My main contribution has been to expand the List of Korea-related topics from one page of a few dozen links into three pages of several hundred links. So long and thanks, everyone. |
