I'm a real estate developer from British Columbia, Canada. I maintain a second home in Borneo, which is just as beautiful a place as BC in its own way. I've also lived in Maryland, Missouri, Beijing and Mexico City.
For fun I enjoy writing both for free and sometimes professionally. I've developed particular expertise in real estate, business, law, political topics, geography and international relations.
I'm pretty reasonable and open to suggestions, so before assuming the worst about something I did, feel free to leave questions or notifications on my talk page. Some people even appreciate my work on Wikipedia. (Shocking but true).
Your work and contributions at the AfC Wikiproject are exemplary. I've messed up my assessment of you earlier, and I'm grateful that you've forgiven me for that. But truly, it's a wonder why it's taken me this much time to hand over this barnstar to you. You're probably amongst the most dedicated contributors at this Wikiproject and I'm thankful to have you as a valued colleague.
With intelligent and most helpful inputs, you truly are an outstanding contributor.
I have no clue how you didn't completely flip out on ImmortalWizard. Thank you for your patience with them. ―MattLongCT-Talk-☖ 01:53, 1 March 2019 (UTC)

Although we sometimes have different opinions at RfD, I am incredibly thankful for the hard work you do to clean up the Neelix redirects. Your tireless efforts to improve the redirects at Wikipedia are admirable, and your work ethic is truly inspiring. Cheers, -- Notecardforfree (talk) 23:25, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

For trying to deal with the madness that is Draft space. Dlohcierekim (talk) 00:33, 10 June 2017 (UTC)
Don't take the bait. I've dealt with editors like that. They love to push buttons in order to get their way, and it's basically what they live for. IME it's quite like dealing with people that suffer a psychological dysfunction. It's quite pitiful actually. Do not engage them or their ilk, but rather, kill them with courtesy and give them all the rope they want. Darknipples (talk) 09:27, 18 June 2017 (UTC)

Thank you for your support and your thanks for my contributions on Wikipedia.
My passion is writing new articles.
I enjoy research and writing and giving freely of my time by myself as one person and donating to Wikipedia both with my charitable financial giving and my article creation efforts to add high quality new articles to this site.
It becomes more difficult to do so in the face of stalking and harassment as can be seen at recently closed case resulting in indefinite block of a user.
Your acknowledgement of my efforts to improve Wikipedia and contribute to this site are encouraging during such times.
Thank you. Sagecandor (talk) 18:53, 2 July 2017 (UTC)

First, thanks for all of your work with the Neelix redirects. A number of editors and admins helped out but you did a lot of the clean-up work after the initial rush of deletions occurred....Good luck and thanks again for your work on the redirect cleanup! RfD thanks Thanks once again for your hard work at RfD – I don't know how much you put up with the criticism. It must be very tempting sometimes to CSD the whole lot rather than bother to list them a few at RfD at all, I think people miss that point (non-regulars won't know so won't call it N-bashing; regulars will and should know not to.) ... Keep it up. Si Trew (talk) 00:45, 8 February 2016 (UTC)
Neelix Hi there; I know that you have spent some time identifying Neelix nonsense, and I have spent a fair bit of time deleting it. I have just done some arithmetic. Neelix claims on his userpage to have created over 60,000 redirects (!!!). They are listed on his talk page; I have found that something over 95% are deletable. Allowing for checking some articles, I find that I can process one hundred every hour. Assuming that I do this regularly for three hours every day, I can clear the lot in just under 48 weeks!!!!! --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 17:46, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
I think that ("nuking the lot of them would be a better use of time, letting responsible people recreate the ones that are needed") would have been a better option. But what's done is done. Thanks for all the work you have done on them.--S Philbrick(Talk) 14:09, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
Thanks Hey there legacypac, thanks for giving me the link to the 'To Do' lists - sorry if i caused any inconvenience with that page - kind regards,Josh2221 (talk) 01:16, 5 May 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for combining the Dorothy and Mel Tanner pages, Legacypac. I appreciate that and for your kind words about the page! I have a question: Is it possible to have an infobox for Mel Tanner underneath Dorothy Tanner's infobox? Is it possible to add a couple of additional photos of Mel Tanner's art?
Many thanks,
Barry

I don't just read and write about the world, I love to explore it!
In North America: I've got one US state Mississippi and two or three areas of Canada - PEI and Nunavut remain plus the remote Labrador region of Newfoundland and Labrador (11/13 provinces and territories). In Mexico I've covered 27/32 states so far.
In Middle East visited: Kuwait, UAE (7/7), Oman, and Turkey. The most off beat places not quite visited were poking my nose and only my nose through a fence into Iraq during the first Gulf War and driving into Saudi Arabia without a visa by accident from Kuwait, which was a unique experience in convincing both the Saudi's and the Kuwaiti's to let me pass back across the border without any Saudi visa or a multi-entry Kuwait visa. Major language barriers that day made for fun times.
Transcontinental sea crossings of Strait of Gibraltar (Europe-Africa-Europe), Caribbean Sea (North-South-North America), Atlantc Ocean (Europe-Africa-South America) and bridge crossing of the Bosporous (Europe-Asia)
Some big places remain on my bucket list: the 'Stans', the South Pacific, the Indian subcontinent, and Sub-Saharian Africa. Some people say the travel bug is a sickness but I'd rather see stuff than sit home.
