First section needs re-doing

edit

I do not know about this specifically but I do know about statistics. The first para is very poor and needs tightening up Jb1944 (talk) 11:54, 25 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

I’ve put a point-of-view tag on the controversies section. In particular, the sentences this particular criticism of cross-cultural or comparative studies – and there are many – is one that, logically speaking, amounts to a rejection of science and statistics altogether and There is little doubt, however, that the community of cross-cultural researchers have been remiss in ignoring Galton's problem are inappropriate, but more broadly the tone of much of this section seems essay-like. Change name from "Galton's problem" to "Phylogenetic autocorrelation

edit

While this phenomena has been known for a long time as "Galton's Problem", it is increasingly being referred to by the more precise name "phylogenetic autocorrelation" or "phylogenetic non-independence". I suggest the article change name to either of those two, and that "Galton's problem" points to this article.

Example of articles using "phylogenetic autocorrelation"
