Article needs a lot of work
editForgive my directness, but this article is badly written. It reads like a press release. We are writing for an encyclopedia, and encyclopedia writing has a very specific style that must be followed. We must remove the peacock language in this article, remove superfluous text, fix the bad grammar and punctuation, and fix bad links. Encyclopedia writing dictates that the most important facts are written with the fewest number of words. Each word used must be defendable and must pull its own weight.
As for the birthplace of this subject, we cannot verify the post on this Talk page is actually from Allen's son, but since there are ample sources to corroborate his statement, I tend to believe the post is valid and that Allen was born in Cincinnati. Having been a member of the press for more than 40 years, I know that even respected news sources will sometimes get their information from other new sources. If one reputable news source gets a fact wrong, it is not unusual to find that incorrect fact showing up in multiple news sources thereafter. If a birthplace is wrong, and assuming the subject is not a well-known celebrity like an Elizabeth Taylor, it is unlikely an obit writer is going to question the validity of the birthplace found in the first reputable source he or she locates.
Also, Allen attended College Preparatory School, which a reputable source from Princeton indicates is in Cincinnati.
Therefore, I am going to change her birthplace to Cincinnati. I am also going to edit this article according to the information I wrote in the first paragraph. I would also like to say that I do not consider filmreference.com is a reputable source. I will address that on WP:RSP. I welcome discussion here. All the best.
