English: Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument located in the English county of Wiltshire, about north of Salisbury. One of the most famous sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. It is at the centre of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds.
Français : Stonehenge est un grand monument préhistorique situé dans le comté anglais de Wiltshire, dans le nord de Salisbury. Il est l'un des sites les plus célèbres dans le monde. Stonehenge est composé de fosses archéologiques entourant une suite circulaire de grands menhirs surmontés à l'origine de massifs linteaux de pierres. Il est au centre du complexe le plus dense du néolithique et de l'âge du bronze en Angleterre. Il comprend aussi plusieurs centaines de tumulus.
