De abdij is gekend omwille van de lammeren waarvan de wol gebruikt wordt om het pallium te weven van nieuw aangestelde metropolieten. De paus zegent de lammetjes op 21 januari, de feestdag van de Heilige Agnes en overhandigt de gezegende pallia aan de nieuwe dragers op 29 juni, het Hoogfeest van de Heilige Petrus en Paulus. Sinds 11 mei 2015 is de abdij ook gekend als brouwerij van het Tre Fontane trappistenbier. Die datum werd het label van Authentic Trappist Product (ATP) door de Internationale Vereniging Trappist aan de Tre Fontane van de abdij gegeven, een tripel trappistenbier met een alcoholpercentage van 8,5%. Het is zo het elfde officiële trappistenbier ter wereld en het eerste Italiaanse bier dat die eer te beurt valt. Segundo a tradição, a cabeça do santo, ao ser cortada, saltou e atingiu a Terra em três lugares, dos quais surgiram fontes. Atualmente é mantida pelos monges trapistas da ordem cisterciense. Ela é conhecida por criar as ovelhas cuja lã é utilizada para tecer os pálios utilizados pelos arcebispos metropolitanos e abençoadas pelo Papa durante a festa de Santa Inês, em 21 de janeiro. Os pálios são depois entregues aos novos arcebispos na Festa de São Pedro e São Paulo, em 29 de junho.
