- Through the Looking Glass je osmé studiové album britské rockové skupiny Siouxsie and the Banshees, vydané v březnu 1987. Nahráno bylo od srpna do září předchozího roku a jeho producentem byl spolu se členy skupiny. Album obsahuje celkem deset písní, které napsali a původně nahráli jiní hudebníci. Mezi původní interprety písní patří například Iggy Pop, skupina Roxy Music nebo hudebník John Cale, který později produkoval album skupiny Siouxsie and the Banshees nazvané The Rapture. - Through the Looking Glass est un album de reprises enregistré par Siouxsie and the Banshees en 1987, coproduit avec Mike Hedges. Il a été remasterisé en 2014 avec des bonus inédits. Pour son enregistrement, le groupe fait appel à d'autres instrumentistes, avec notamment une section de cuivres et de cordes. Plusieurs artistes - compositeurs ont salué le travail du groupe. Ralf Hütter de Kraftwerk a qualifié d'« extraordinaire » la version de Hall of Mirrors. Iggy Pop a salué la reprise avec cuivres de The Passenger et la manière dont Siouxsie l'a interprétée. John Cale a ensuite invité Siouxsie à chanter Gun avec lui en concert. Jeff Buckley a déclaré qu'il avait eu envie de reprendre Strange Fruit après l'avoir découvert via la version des Banshees. La formation qui a enregistré cet album, est composée de Siouxsie, Steven Severin, Budgie et de John Valentine Carruthers. Through the Looking Glass est le deuxième et dernier album que Carruthers a enregistré avec le groupe. (fr)

It was co-produced with Mike Hedges and released in March 1987 on Polydor. Through the Looking Glass was preceded by the single "This Wheel's on Fire". It was the second and final album recorded with guitarist John Valentine Carruthers. Some of their cover songs were praised by the original artists themselves. (en)
