- تنحماد أو تن حمادي، هي قرية وبلدية ريفية تقع جنوب موريتانيا، بلغ عدد سكان البلدية 2,264 عام 2000. هي عاصمة بلدية تنحمّاد، التابعة لمقاطعة العيون، وتعتمد هذه المدينة على التجارة، والزراعة، والرعي. تقع مدينة تنحمّاد على بعد 20 كم إلى الجنوب الغربي من مدينة العيون عاصمة ولاية الحوض الغربي، وتمتاز بمناظرها الطبيعية الخلابة، مما جعلها قبلة للفارين من ضوضاء المدينة للمبيت فيها. ومن المدن القريبة منها مدينة اكني «أهل احمد الزين» وهي أكبر مدن البلدية، ومدينة ويقطنها آل التحميد، وبها تامورة باكزازه وهي ملك لمسمى تنواجيو، ومن المناطق القريبة منها قرية دمشق، وقرية وحاس الأمن، وقرية بدر، وبعض القري الصغيرة. - Ten Hamadi (en árabe, تن حمادي) o Tenhemad es una aldea y una comuna rural en el sur de Mauritania, en el departamento de Aïoun El Atrouss de la región de Hodh El Gharbi. Para el año 2000, la comuna tenía una población de 2.264 habitantes, de los cuales 155 viven en la aldea de Ten Hamadi en sí, aproximadamente a 17 kilómetros al suroeste del pueblo principal y la capital departamental de Aïoun El Atrouss. La población estimada para 2007 era de 3.686 habitantes, repartida entre 16 aldeas. La parte norte de la comuna es escarpada, pero relativamente favorable para la agricultura, mientras que la parte sur es plana y caracterizada por dunas de arena. Ubicada en la frontera sur de la región Sahara-Sahel del sur de Mauritania, el clima es generalmente caliente y seco. La mayoría de la población vive en la pobreza, trabajando en agricultura o ganadería de subsistencia. Algunos se han mudado a las ciudades en búsqueda de un mejor nivel de vida, y regresando para ayudar durante los periodos de mayor actividad agrícola. - Ten Hamadi (Arabic: تن حمادي) or Tenhemad is a village and rural commune in southern Mauritania, in the Aïoun El Atrouss department of the Hodh El Gharbi region. In 2000, the commune had a population of 2,264, of which 155 lived in the village of Ten Hamadi itself, approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) southwest of the main town and departmental capital of Aïoun El Atrouss. The population estimate in 2007 was 3,686, spread over 16 villages. The northern part of the commune is hilly but relatively favorable to agriculture, while the southern part is flat and characterized by sand dunes. Situated at the southern boundary of the Sahara-Sahel region of southern Mauritania, the climate is generally hot and dry. Most of the population live in poverty, occupied in farming or raising livestock. Some have moved to the cities to seek a higher standard of living, returning to help during the peak periods of agricultural activity. Infrastructure is underdeveloped; there is no electricity supply, most water comes from traditional wells, and the rudimentary school system provides only elementary education in poorly equipped establishments.
