- Der Sky Tower ist ein Wolkenkratzer in Abu Dhabi, der Hauptstadt der VAE. Nach Baubeginn 2006 wurde die Endhöhe des Turms von 292 Metern bereits im Jahr 2009 erreicht, Mitte 2010 wurde er fertiggestellt. Der Turm auf der Reem-Insel war kurzzeitig das höchste Bauwerk der Stadt, wurde allerdings vom entstehenden The Landmark ab September 2010 um 32 Meter (324 Meter hoch) überragt, nach dessen Fertigstellung 2012 er auch offiziell nicht mehr das höchste Gebäude Abu Dhabis ist. Das vom Architekturbüro Arquitectonica geplante Gebäude wurde von Tameer Holding Investment und Sourou Real Estate in Auftrag gegeben. Tameer Holding Investment baut gegenwärtig noch weitere Hochhäuser in Abu Dhabi, z. B. den 300 Meter hohen Tameer Commercial Tower. Die 74 Stockwerke des Sky Towers werden im unteren Bereich als Büroräume genutzt, während oben luxuriöse Wohnungen zu finden sind. Die tragenden Elemente des Turms bestehen aus Stahlbeton, die Fassade ist vollständig mit Glas verkleidet. (de)

- Sky Tower es un rascacielos que se localiza en la ciudad emiratí de Abu Dhabi, y para ser más exactos en la Isla Al Reem. Con una altura 292,2 metros y 74 plantas, es el 5º rascacielos más alto de Abu Dhabi. La construcción de la Sky Tower comenzó en el 2006, se alcanzó la altura final de 292,2 m en el 2009 y su construcción finalizó a mediados del 2010, convirtiéndose así en el rascacielos más alto de Abu Dhabi; pero no duraría mucho, ya que al año siguiente (2011) se terminaría de construir la Etihad Towers T2, de 305 m de altura. La estructura del rascacielos fue construida con hormigón armado y la fachada está recubierta completamente de vidrio. Junto a la Sky Tower podemos encontrar su torre hermana, la Sun Tower de 237,6 m de altura y 64 plantas, estas dos torres forman parte del complejo , al cual también pertenecen las torres de , de 238 m de altura y 66 plantas. The tower is twinned with the neighboring Sun Tower and part of the Shams Abu Dhabi development project. The building, designed by the US firm Architectonica, has 474 residential units. The Arabian Construction Company (ACC) was commissioned to build the tower. The building won the GCC Residential Project of the Year award at the Construction Week Awards 2011. (en)
