Según un libro publicado por la organización, «Las mujeres encuentran un camino: el movimiento y las historias de las sacerdotisas católicas romanas», al menos otros dos obispos anónimos participaron en la ordenación. Además, el decreto considera que estos obispos están en regla, y SMCR dice que los obispos actuaron en su sucesión apostólica. En 2007, la Congregación para la Doctrina de la Fe del Vaticano, con la autorización del papa Benedicto XVI, decretó la pena de excomunión automática contra cualquiera «que intente conferir un orden sagrado sobre una mujer, y la mujer que intenta recibir una orden sagrada». Ses membres ont été excommuniées en 2007 par la congrégation pour la doctrine de la foi. Les membres de cette association font valoir différents cas historiques de sacerdoce féminin dans l'Église catholique. En particulier, ils citent le cas des diaconesses et abbesses laïques du Moyen Âge, l'affaire Ludmila Javorová en 1970 et diverses femmes apôtres nommées dans le Nouveau Testament. Cette organisation a procédé à diverses ordinations jugées illicites par le droit canonique. En 2002, elle a médiatisé une cérémonie près du Danube, au cours de laquelle sept femmes auraient été ordonnées prêtresses, bien que cette ordination soit non reconnue par l'Église et passible d'anathème. According to a book published by the organization, Women Find a Way: The Movement and Stories of Roman Catholic Womenpriests, at least two other unnamed bishops were involved in the ordination.
