- Le prix Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, littéralement, en français : Prix national du Premier ministre pour les enfants, est une distinction civile en Inde. Ce prix comporte deux catégories : Bal Shakti Puraskar, décerné à des citoyens indiens de moins de 18 ans pour des réalisations exceptionnelles dans les domaines de l'innovation, des résultats scolaires, du service social, des arts et de la culture, de la bravoure ou du sport, et Bal Kalyan Puraskar, décerné à des personnes ou à des organisations ayant apporté une contribution exceptionnelle au développement, à la protection ou au bien-être des enfants. Le Bal Kalyan Puraskar, précédemment appelé National Child Welfare Awards (en français : Prix nationaux pour la protection de l'enfance), a été institué par le ministère de la Femme et du Développement de l'enfant, en 1979, et le Bal Shakti Puraskar, précédemment le National Child Award (en français : Prix national de l'enfant), a été institué par l'ONG Indian Council for Child Welfare en 1996. En 2018, les deux prix ont été renommés et combinés dans le Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, qui est administré par le ministère des Femmes et du Développement de l'enfant. Il est décerné par le président de l'Inde dans la semaine précédant le Jour de la République, le 26 janvier, au Durbar Hall du Rashtrapati Bhavan à New Delhi. Auparavant, les prix étaient décernés à l'occasion de la (en). Le Premier ministre indien rencontre également les lauréats dans sa résidence. - The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (lit. 'Prime Minister's National Award for Children') is a civilian honour in India. The award has two categories: Bal Shakti Puraskar, awarded to Indian citizens under the age of 18 for outstanding achievement in innovation, scholastic achievements, social service, arts and culture, bravery, or sports, and Bal Kalyan Puraskar, to individuals or organisations that have made outstanding contributions in child development, child protection, or child welfare. The Bal Kalyan Puraskar, previously the National Child Welfare Awards, was instituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 1979, and the Bal Shakti Puraskar, previously the National Child Award, was instituted by the NGO Indian Council for Child Welfare in 1996. In 2018, the two awards were renamed and combined into the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, which is administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. It is conferred by the President of India in the week preceding Republic Day, 26 January, in the Durbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Previously, the awards were conferred on Children's Day. The Prime Minister of India also meets with the awardees at his residence, 7, Lok Kalyan Marg and the awardees take part in the Republic Day parade. In 2021 and 2022, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the award ceremony was shifted online, and besides the Prime Minister meeting the awardees in a video conference, it was the first ever instance of blockchain certificates (built in association with IIT-Kanpur) being presented to awardees for both the years.
