- الفلكلور الملاوي سلسلة من المعارف والتقاليد والمحرمات التي توارثتها الأجيال في أشكال شفهية ومكتوبة ورمزية، بين الشعوب الأصليبة في جنوب شرق آسيا البحري. يحتوي الفلكلور الملاوي مواضيع وأمورًا متعلقة بالمعارف الأهلية للملاويين الأصليين والمجموعات العرقية الأخرى في المنطقة. تظهر في قصص هذا النظام المعرفي كيانات خارقة للطبيعة ومخلوقات سحرية تشكل أجزاءً من الأساطير الملاوية. تتعلق قصص أخرى بأساطير الخلق وقصص تسمية الأماكن، ولطالما تداخلت بالشخصيات والأحداث التاريخية. ويحوي الفلكلور الملاوي أيضًا طقوسًا قديمًا للشفاء وطبًّا تقليديًّا وفلسفات معقدة في شأن الصحة والمرض. - Malay folklore refers to a series of knowledge, traditions and taboos that have been passed down through many generations in oral, written and symbolic forms among the indigenous populations of Maritime Southeast Asia (Nusantara). They include among others, themes and subject matter related to the indigenous knowledge of the ethnic Malays and related ethnic groups within the region. The stories within this system of lore often incorporate supernatural entities and magical creatures which form parts of the Malay mythology. Others relate to creation myths and place naming legends that are often inter-twined with historical figures and events. Ancient rituals for healing and traditional medicine as well as complex philosophies regarding health and disease can also be found. (en)
- O 'folclore malaio refere-se a uma série de conhecimentos, tradições e tabus que foram transmitidos através de muitas gerações em formas orais, escritas e simbólicas entre as populações indígenas do Sudeste Asiático Marítimo (Nusantara). Eles incluem, entre outros, temas e assuntos relacionados ao conhecimento indígena e de grupos étnicos malaios da região. Nas histórias dentro desse sistema de crenças são comuns os relatos de entidades sobrenaturais e criaturas mágicas que fazem parte da mitologia malaia. Outros se relacionam com os mitos da criação e colocam lendas de nomes que são frequentemente entrelaçadas com figuras e eventos históricos. Antigos rituais de cura e medicina tradicional, bem como filosofias complexas em relação à saúde e doença também podem ser encontrados no folclore malaio. (pt)
