- القيثارة المورسكية (بالإسبانية: guitarra morisca) أو ماندورا العصور الوسطى هي آلة وترية منقورة، وهي آلة عودية ذات جسم بارز التقعر ورأسها عبارة عن منجل. يعود جزء من مميزات الآلة إلى قصيدة كتاب الحب الفاضل للشاعر خوان رويز، والتي تعود لحوالي سنة 1330 وتصف «الغيتيرنا المورسكية» بأنه «كبير الحجم». قد سكون السبب وراء استعمال نعت morisca (مورسكية) المرتبط بguitarra (قيثارة) هو التفريق بينه وبين النوع اللاتيني الشائع، وذلك حين كان القيثار المورسكية محدود الشيوع في القرن 14. ظهرت في أوائل القرن 9 وذكرت في كانتيجاس دي سانتا ماريا، كما ذكرها جوهانيس دي غروتشيو (حوالي 1300) والذي سماها quitarra sarracénica. ابتداء من القرن 14 أصبحت تعرف بمصطلح "guitarra morisca" الذي اخترعها خوان رويز في كتاب الحب الفاضل. تعتبر الآلة خليطا بين القيثارة اللاتينية وآلة العصور الوسطى العودية التي تعزف عادة بالأصابع أو الريشة. أصل الآلة هو العود العربي ذي أربعة أوتار الذي أحضره المورسكيون إلى شبه الجزيرة الإيبيرية في القرن 8. القيثارة المورية هي أصل القيثارة الحديثة. ابتداء من القرن 14 أصبح يشار للقيثارة المورسكية باستخدام كلمة غيتار ببساطة. القيثارة المورسكية آلة غير معروفة بشكل كبير تم التعرف عليها بشكل أساسي من الصور. ذكر خبير الآلات القديمة فرانسيس ويليام غالبين الآلة في كتابه Old English Instruments of Music (ص 21-22) وسماها "Guitare Moresca" أو "Chittara Saraacenica" ووصف «عنقها الطويل، وجسمها بيضوي الشكل ومؤخرتها الدائرية»، كما شعر بأنها مرتبطة بآلة الماندورا. - La guitarra morisca o mandora medieval és un instrument musical de corda pinçada. El nom de mandora deriva del terme pantur, instrument sumeri del qual prové. És un llaüt que té un ventre bombat i un claviller en forma de falç. És un instrument molt nomenat per les "cantigas", a la 150, i per (cap a l'any 1300) que l'anomena quitarra sarraïna . És un instrument híbrid entre la guitarra llatina i el llaüt medieval. Se solia tocar puntejada amb els dits o amb el plectre. Johannes Tinctoris músic de cambra de Ferran el Catòlic diu que és un invent català. Al segle xiv se la coneix amb el terme de guitarra morisca, encunyat per l'Arxipreste d'Hita en el "Llibre de bon amor", però va aparèixer a principis del segle ix. Encara sobreviu amb diferents noms a l'est d'Europa: tanbur (Bulgària), buzuk i saz (Turquia), i en Orient: tar (Iran ). (ca)
- The Guitarra morisca or Mandora medieval is a plucked string instrument. It is a lute that has a bulging belly and a headstock as sickle. Part of that characterization came from a c. 1330 poem, Libro de buen amor by Juan Ruiz, arcipestre de Hita, which described the "Moorish gittern" as "corpulent". The use of the adjective morisca tacked to guitarra may have been to differentiate it from the commonly seen Latin European variety, when the morisca was seen on a limited basis during the 14th century. Appeared in the early 9th century, it is an instrument mentioned in the Cantigas de Santa Maria, and by Johannes de Grocheio (towards 1300) who called it quitarra sarracénica. In the 14th century it is known by the term "guitarra morisca", coined by Arcipreste de Hita in Libro de buen amor. It is a hybrid instrument between the guitarra latina and medieval lute, usually played by fingers or plectrum. It has roots in the four-string Arabic oud, brought to Iberia by the Moors in the 8th century. The guitarra morisca is a direct ancestor of the modern guitar. By the 14th century, the guitarra morisca was simply referred to as a guitar. The guitarra morisca is an obscure instrument, known mainly from pictures. Early instrument expert Francis William Galpin mentioned the instrument in his book, Old English Instruments of Music (pages 21-22), calling it the "Guitare Moresca" or "Chittara Saraacenica", with its "long neck, oval shaped body and round back." Chittara Saraacenica) — струнний музичний інструмент родини лютень з корпусом овальної форми, з декількома резонансними отворами, випуклою нижньою декою та металевими струнами на яких грають виключно за допомогою медіатора, що призводить до різкого звучання. Головка інструмента — серпоподібна. Частина опису інструмента знайдена в поемі 1330 року Хуана Руїса «Libra de Buen Amor», де він її описує, як «повнотілу». Такий вид гітари той час не знаходить широкого поширення серед сільських музикантів. Вона, навпаки, припадає до душі коронованим особам, про що і свідчать зображення на мініатюрах. Мавританська гітара з рукописного збірника "Кантиги" має форму і будову рідкісної краси, її широкий корпус має декілька декоративних резонаторних отворів. Струни кріпляться за допомогою напівкруглого струнотримача або невеликих кнопок, проходять через підставку і намотуються на кілки, вставлені в об'ємисту колкову систему. Однак згадані вище мініатюри не дають уявлення про прийоми гри.
