- Dragon Shiryū (Japanese: 龍星座 (ドラゴン)の紫龍, Hepburn: Doragon no Shiryū) is a fictional character from the Saint Seiya universe created by Masami Kurumada. As one of the protagonists of this media franchise, he has made appearances in the several manga, the original anime adaptation, OVAs, films and video games. He has also inspired a large number of collectibles. Considered the most mature and wisest of the five heroes, Shiryū is the Bronze Saint of the Dragon constellation, whose Cloth possesses legendary defensive and offensive properties. Shiryū is one of the ten surviving orphans trained to become Athena's Saints by Mitsumasa Kido. With Kido dead, Shiryū and his allies become the protectors of his adopted granddaughter, Saori, Athena's reincarnation. Critical reception to Shiryu has been mixed, with praise on his fight scenes in the series but criticism focused on the abuse of his training as a plot device to come up with new techniques to defeat enemies. - Shiryû (龍星座（ドラゴン）の紫龍, Doragon no Shiryū, litt. dragon violet) est un personnage du manga Saint Seiya. Il est profondément épris de justice, qu’il considère comme quelque chose d’absolu, et n’hésite pas à mettre sa vie en jeu pour la défendre, la considérant plus importante même que l’amour. Il a également une profonde confiance en l’amitié. L’une des meilleures preuves est son combat contre le Chevalier d’Argent Argol, du signe de Persée. Il se crève les yeux pour ne pas risquer d’être transformé en statue de pierre par le bouclier de Méduse. Chevalier du Dragon, son armure est l’une des plus résistantes de la Chevalerie, et est connue pour son bouclier et son poing droit indestructibles. Il porte à plusieurs reprises l’armure d’Or de la Balance, l’une des pièces les plus importantes de la Chevalerie par les armes qu’elle cache. Calme et réfléchi, il garde son honneur et sa dignité même face à Masque de Mort qui a pourtant voulu tuer Shunrei à qui il tient énormément et qui est finalement devenue son épouse. (fr)

- Sirio il Dragone (龍星座の紫龍 Dragon no Shiryu?) è un personaggio della serie manga e anime I Cavalieri dello zodiaco, scritto e disegnato da Masami Kurumada. È uno dei cinque Cavalieri di Bronzo protagonisti e appartiene alla costellazione del Dragone; in Saint Seiya Next Dimension, sequel della serie originale, viene riconosciuto come futuro Cavaliere d'oro della Bilancia e quindi successore del suo maestro Dohko. Nella prima traduzione italiana del manga viene chiamato Sirio del Dragone, mentre nelle edizioni successive e nell'adattamento Dynamic dei film è stato chiamato Shiryu di Dragon, traduzione letterale del nome originale ("Shiryu" in giapponese significa "Dragone viola"); spesso anche i suoi nemici gli si rivolgono col nome della sua costellazione, diventato nell'adattamento italiano dell'anime un suo ricorrente soprannome (mentre il suo nome è diventato "Sirio"). Compare in tutti i film della serie così come in altri media, compresi tutti i videogiochi, OAV e altre serie manga.
