EPA Tailoring Rule

#FFFFFF

The U.S. EPA Tailoring Rule of 2010 requires large stationary sources of greenhouse gases to obtain permits under the federal Clean Air Act Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) and Title V Operating Permit programs to obtain permits for construction or operation of their facilities effective Jan. 2, 2011.

However, in 2014 the U.S. Supreme Court said the EPA may not treat greenhouse gases as an air pollutant for purposes of determining whether a source is a major source required to obtain a PSD or Title V permit.
