Hiking
The Niagara Gorge offers a wide variety of hiking trails for hikers of all abilities. The trails are well maintained, and offers spectacular views of the Niagara River and its world-class rapids.
The Niagara Falls National Heritage Area offers several great kayaking destinations. Griffon Park
and Stella Niagara Preserve
both offer great places to launch your kayak. In addition, Niagara Outfitters offers kayak rentals and guided tours on the water!
The Discover Niagara Shuttle
makes things a bit more flexible, as our free shuttles are equipped with bike racks.
Reddy Bikes
are available for rent all over the city of Niagara Falls. Take a look at our map

Fishing
Our region has a long history of fishing, as we are clearly blessed with a lot of fresh water. The Niagara River and Lake Ontario offer plenty of great fishing opportunities, and many local fishing charters are available to help you find the perfect catch!
The Niagara Falls National Heritage Area is one of 62 National Heritage Areas in the United States. Designated by the United States Congress in 2008, its mission is to preserve, protect and promote the historic, natural and cultural resources of the area stretching from Niagara Falls to Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, New York.
