Admissions for studies 2025/2026

More than 270 programmes await future students of the University of Warsaw. Admissions for first-cycle, full-cycle and selected second-cycle degree programmes in the 2025/2026 academic year began on 5th June and will continue until 9th July. The results will be announced on 22nd July.

Safety at the UW

The University of Warsaw has launched a new website where you can learn how to act in an emergency situation: fire, accident, contamination or finding a suspicious object. The university also has an emergency telephone number: (22 55) 22 112.

New ERC ambassadors from the University of Warsaw

Researchers from the University of Warsaw – Prof. Justyna Olko from the Faculty of “Artes Liberales” and Prof. Michał Tomza from the Faculty of Physics – have become ambassadors of the European Research Council (ERC) programme, which is intended to strengthen the role and visibility of this institution in Europe and around the world.

Technological sovereignty and digital technologies were the main topics of the EUTechSovereignty 2025 conference, which took place on 26th May at the University of Warsaw. UW joins the Mazovian NAWA–EURAXESS network

A consortium of six universities and research institutions from the region – including the University of Warsaw – has won the first edition of NAWA’s competition to create regional support networks for international researchers and PhD candidates. Backed by over PLN 1 million in funding, the new network will help make the region even more welcoming and accessible to global academic talent.

Director of DGAM Syria at the UW

The University of Warsaw was visited by Dr Anas Haj Zeidan, Director of the Syrian Directorate-General of Antiquities and Museums. During the visit, meetings were held with, among others, Rector Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Chancellor Robert Grey and the representatives of the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.

Study on the commuting habits of the UW community

Until 8th June, students, doctoral candidates, and employees of the University of Warsaw can complete a survey on commuting habits. The survey is part of the university's environmental initiatives. The results will help estimate the university's carbon footprint and support its sustainable development.
