ST BOSWELLS July 6 Primestock: John Swan Limited sold 160 clean cattle, 69 OTM cattle, 2235 Spring lambs and 860 ewes. Bullocks (72) averaged 170.7p per kg (-5.7p on the week) and sold to 204p gross pounds 1223 from Swarland Old Hall Heifers (78) averaged 170.5p per kg, (-1.9p on the week), and sold to 191p gross pounds 1062 from East Garleton.The 10 young bulls averaged 153.3p per kg, -4.7p on the week, and sold to 163p gross pounds 1064 from Brae of Coynach. The 63 beef type OTM cattle averaged 11.6p per kg, and sold to 159p gross pounds 1132 from Swarland Old Hall.
The 6 dairy type OTM cattle sold to 89p gross pounds 596 from North Doddington.
The 2235 spring lambs averaged 147.4p per kg, and sold to pounds 80 a head from Towford and 167p per kg from Shoestanes.
The 860 ewes averaged pounds 55.44 (+pounds 3.26 on the week).and sold to pounds 93 from H& M Farms, Minto Kames.
