Now that the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials are just days away, make a plan to get in some Track Town history. Free two-mile walking tours to Pre's Rock will be offered during the Trials. Meet at the Starting Block booth outside Hayward Field at 8:30 a.m. Saturday; 2:30 p.m. June 25; 2:30 p.m. June 28; and 1:30 p.m. June 30.
CLIMB THE COLUMNS
If you've ever wanted to scale those rocks on the west side of Skinner Butte, the city of Eugene's River House Outdoor Program and Willamalane Recreation are holding instructional climbs on the basalt columns this summer. The first is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday. $10, pay on-site. Other climbs are on June 30, July 21, July 28, Aug. 18 and Aug. 25. 541-682-5329.
