Busen squad puts on a spectacular floor show; JUDO.
THE British Busen Judo Association took part in a national championship event in Birmingham organised by The All-England Judo Federation.
Its squad of 38 senior and junior judoka from the BBJA's North East based clubs came away with 38 medals - eight gold, 14 silver and 16 bronze - in their individual events.
Gold medal winners were Bailey Elsy, Molly-Ann Anderson, Olivia Francis, Shane Anderson, Thomas Allan, Zak Otsmani, Ian Aspinall and Lee Francis.
Silver medal winners were Cole Egdell, Imogen Wray, Kai Bell, Leah Tempest, Leo Wray, Mitchell McDermott, Nicholas Lambert, Reece Bell, Sophie Hodgson, Tom Swinburne, Stefan Frizzel, John Rose, Daniel Webb and Arturs Griska.
Bronze medal winners were Christian Smith, Dylan Launder, Faye Robinson, Harry Sayers, Harvey Elsy, Jack Wragg, Jessica Wood, Layton Rose, Logan Egdell, Logan McLoed, Luke Robinson, Molly Wragg, Owen Marshall, Chris Cresswell, Shaun Wray and Lewis Donnelly.
BBJA chairman Master Steve Makin said: "I was extrenely pleased with the very high standard of judo performed by all the competitors."
