QA – Quality Assurance is a set of activities for


ensuring quality in the processes by which
products are developed

QC – Quality Control is a set of activities for


ensuring quality in products. The activities focus
on identifying defects in the actual products
produced

Role of QA/QC Department in 3
organization:
To promote and build quality within all departments of the organization by
setting the Quality Policy, objectives, Standard operating procedures for all
the departments to ensure the superior quality product or services has been
delivered to customer.

QA /QC Department will establish the QMS ( Quality Management System )


within the organization in line with ISO 9001:2015.

ISO 9001:2015 certification by SGS

Quality management is essential for customer satisfaction which eventually


leads to customer loyalty and ensures the increased revenues and higher
productivity for the organization.

The fundamental components of a Quality Management System are Quality


Control and Quality Assurance.

Role of QA/QC Department in Projects: 5
 Implement QMS Procedures and Maintain Records
 Establish and Monitor the Project Quality Plan
 Prepare, review and implement Inspection & Test Plans
 Prepare the Method statements for CMC scope of works
 Review and submit the Material submittal, technical submittal, Method
statements to consultant
 Monitor Site Quality Control and Maintain Records
 Material Conformity Inspection and Reporting
 Work Conformity Inspection and Reporting
 Corrective Action for Non-Conformity
 Off site/ factory visits and inspections
 Material sampling & Testing and Maintain Records
 Control of Measuring Equipment’s and Calibration
 Staff and operatives Training

 Project Quality Assessment and reporting on Monthly basis to Senior
Management
 Internal Audits for ISO 9001 Compliance
 Quality induction for Staff and operatives on regular basis
 Handing over documents ( As built, O&M, Warranty, Snag closeout &
Testing & Commissioning ) submission to consultant and client

 Document Archiving for the completed projects


 Revising the department procedures and circulating with control no
 Prequalification visits to qualify the new subcontractor in our approved
vendor list for Procurement department
 Subcontractor and Supplier Evaluation
 DLP complaints root cause analysis and recommendation for rectification
